Overview

Varieties are required in the Land Master Setups for Parcels.  This allows for better reporting and designation of land requirements/layouts. 

Understanding the Variety List

  This displays the current varieties.  Selection criteria on the top allow for limiting the screen to the records matching the criteria selected after click of Magnify glass. 

• Pencil allows for editing of record
• Plus Sign used to add a record.

Adding a Record

This screen displays after using the plus sign.

• Crop: Select a crop by using the triangle or Add a new crop by using the Pencil (see detail below) Required
• Commodity: Select a commodity by using the triangle or Add a new crop by using  the Pencil (See detail below) Required
• Variety: Enter a Code for the Variety. This can be alpha-numeric and is user defined Ex. THO for Thompson (grapes). Required
• Description: Enter the description for the variety code Required
• Color: Brief code to define the color of the variety. Optional
• Class: Description of how the Variety is grouped. 
• Status:  Active/Inactive. 

Understand Crops

The following data fields are requirement for reporting and are validated against the data presented when applying for a permit; Crops and Commodities.

• Crop Type: Enter the crop type for the commodity that will be entered.
• Crop Label: Enter the crop label, it can be similar to the crop type
• Spacing UOM: Select the UOM that applies to the crop
• Area UOM: Select the UOM that applies to the crop
• Default Harvesting UOM: Select the harvesting UOM that applies to this particular of crop
• Spray UOM: optional - the UOM that is used to spray for this crop type
• Mix UOM: optional - the UOM that is used to mix ingredients for this crop type
• Other UOM: optional -

Understand Commodities

*NOTE (Calf. requirement): The following data fields (Code, Site Code) are required for reporting (Paper/Electronic).  These are validated against the Calf. database for the clients permit.

• Code: Department of Pesticide regulation commodity codes for permit/PUR programs.
• Type: Enter the type of commodity for the crop.
• Description: Enter the description for the type of commodity of plant
• SiteCode: This is the ending number for the code above.
• Crop: Select the crop that correlates to the commodity
• Active: Is this commodity active or not?
• Container Weight: Enter the container weight (optional).
